  • FrameMaker 5.5.6 Crashes When Opening Documents with Missing Files in Windows XP.
    Workaround: download TOOLBOX 2.1 for Windows (5.5.6) and install the free basic package; also download wa556xp.zip and install this to fix the missing referenced graphics crash. This adds a menu item (File > Open under XP), so that you can open files and correct missing graphics problems without crashes.
  • The “New Web Page?” setting in the XML Mapping Table on the Reference pages does not split the FrameMaker file to multiple files when converting to XML (FrameMaker’s “Save as XML”) [Martin Post]
