Record the tracks

Record the tracks.

Press the Record button in the transport controls, and begin recording. When you’re done, press the Stop button. Then protect the new tracks from future recording by again clicking the Arm Track buttons in the track controls.

When recording from microphones, it’s best to monitor with headphones and turn down your speakers. This approach prevents feedback and unwanted sounds from other tracks.
