Making a Random Strife Effect

Making Random Strife

This is really just one of those random effects I made up when I was photoshop-freestyling… It’s really pretty useless, but I found out it’s great for signature-backgrounds or headers!

Learn how to create one of those famous and simple effects!

  • Step 1 Open up a new image any size and press D and Filter>Render>Clouds;

  • Step 2 Press Filter>Pixelate>Mezzotint and choose short strokes;

  • Step 3 Then add Filter>Blur>Radial Blur, Zoom, best, 100 2 times;

  • Step 4 Add Filter>Disort>Twirl and set it to the max!;

  • Step 5 Duplicate the layer and flip it horizontal;

  • Step 6 Set the blending mode to lighten;

  • Step 7 Press Ctrl+E and Ctrl+U and play around with the settings;

  • Step 8 And then you can add anything you like…
