With support for a number of major-label stocks and customizable templates, AudioLabel CD/DVD Labeler offers a flexible and simple solution for designing and printing disc labels and covers. The good-looking, brushed-metal interface allows easy access to an image library, a text editor, and label properties. At its top, you'll find a color-palette toolbar that allows you to tweak hues with a single-click. Extensive CD-reading options such as Freedb, CD-Text, cdplayer.ini, and ID3 save you from having to enter album and track names manually. The latest version supports direct-to-CD printing on Epson and HP printers (we didn't test this feature). Image editing is not included, however, so users will need a separate utility to tweak imported graphics; luckily, drag-and-drop functionality makes adding graphics simple. The AutoFit text feature may drive control freaks batty, but you can always choose to turn it off. Simple and efficient, AudioLabel allows even an amateur to create professional-looking CD or DVD labels.
