I cannot get the same effect on the ornament that you have shown in this tutorial. I have followed the instructions to a T and have tried everything. Would the author of this tutorial be kind enough to help me?

    Thank you in advance!

I have worked on the tutorial and for the comment about the ornament, what you have to do is once you have the white shape, simplify it then select the gradient tool, using the same colors indicated set the crosshair on the right side of the top of the ornament leaving a little white area and drag thru the center to the bottom left, this will achieve the look also.. I played around with it till I got it right. Hope it helps.

I think it would also help if they showed the tool icons being used. I got most of it down, except for the Shadow affect. I can’t seem to get that one working. Those wavy lines are very hard to create. I almost got it but man, taking a long time experimenting and undoing…. The 2 thin ones, I have skipped since it is so dang hard to do. I guess I have to learn more on using that tool. But defiantly nice ideas with these tutorials!!

Hey guys, try using the Direct Selection tool on the curved lines instead… better results.

WOW! I did this on Photoshop Elements 7….Since it doesn’t have all of the drawing tools I had to use paint as well….but it turned out beautiful! I am only 13 and my art is spectacular now! Thank you so much, this is truly an amazing tutorial. There is another package of snowflakes that is also good too. So if you keep looking around, you will find some awesome ones. This is great to do when you have strep throat ;)
