Represent several more wavy lines, having the same parameters:

Mark out all the lines by pressing Ctrl+Left Click on the layers’ palette. Then press the combination of buttons Ctrl+E for all the layers to be put together. The new layer we’ve got should be blurred out, applying Filter>Blur>Motion Blur

You’ll get the next image on this stage:

Select now the Ellipse Tool (U) and draw several circles, like on the next picture:

Choose the next Blending Options for this layer and for all the circles:

You’ll get the next picture:

Download the brushes, named: r0man_brush7.

Create a new layer and use on it one of the downloaded brushes, representing the ornament above the circle. The color’s code is #F8E63A. Press Alt button and make a mouse click between the layers (on the layers’ palette). This way the drawing will be applied only in the limits of the circle:

Select the layers’ settings with the brushes’ representation Blending mode-Pin light on the layers’ palette:

Choose now the Line Tool (U) to represent the threads for the balls, applying the color #FD9D00

Download one more brushes’ set, named: stars_and_blinks. Choose the brush, demonstrated below:

Insert a kind of flash, representing it firstly on a new layer:

Change the Blending mode-Overlay

Represent on a new layer several more flashes, this time choosing the color for them #F8F13B.

This was very nicely done. I am very happy with my result. The lines were a bit tricky to make, but the pen tool can be such a pain in the butt sometimes. Thanks for the tutorial

I used the pen tool and drew the box and the line squigly line.I have tried everything from the background color being a seprate layer from the back (that just makes everything the gradient, even with the pen tool), making the pen have its own layer (does nothing). What am I doing wrong

To make those wonderful little patterns with the pen tool - Select the background layer (Your dark red) and use the pen tool to create a design. Be sure to close it. right click the line this makes and “Make selection.” Proceed to Ctrl + C (Command + C for mac users) and immediately Ctrl + V (Command + V.) This will create a new Layer with a red design that is the inside of your selection with the pen tool.
Add the blends to this layer, then copy the layer styles.
You can now redo this continually, remember to paste the layer styles to the new layers, and remember to select from the background (unless you merge layers, you just need a solid selection.)
Enjoy - Gaka
