Applying the Ellipse Tool (U), we need to represent a highlight on the heart element. Firstly represent the basis and then keep pressed Alt button while cutting the unnecessary elements with the same tool.

this part does not do a good job explaining.

“Try to represent a highlight on the heart, choosing for this operation the Custom Shape Tool (U). Then press Alt button while applying the Pen Tool (P) and the Convert Point Tool to represent a kind of zone which must be cut out later.”

I can make the new heart but you do not explain how to use the pen or convert tool to create the shape, cut out the portion. great tutorial otherwise, I just cant finish it. pls explain =)
