We have to change also the hair’s color, using the Brush Tool. Paint the hair with the necessary color on a new layer. Change after that the layer’s Blending Mode on Soft light and blur out a little the layer, using Filter – Blur – Gaussian Blur.
Merge
down this layer with the girl’s layer (ctrl+e), making several of her
hair locks lighter. It’s possible to do this operation with the Dodge Tool.
Correct now the color of the girl’s layer (ctrl+m).
Insert after that the picture of a flying bird on a new layer.
Mark out the black background the bird is situated on and apply this command: Select – Modify – Expand, just not to remain the black contours around the bird.
Erase
the background and place the bird on the corresponding place. Make a
copy of the bird’s layer and place the copy under the basic bird’s
layer Blur it out, selecting Filter – Blur – Motion Blur.
Make the corrections on the blurring zone’s placement, choosing Edit – Transform – Distort.
Get back to the basic bird’s layer and select the Smudge Tool to smudge a little the tail’s contours and the wing’s ones in the motion’s zone.
Combine these layers (ctrl+e) and correct their colors. First apply Curves option.
Then, Selective Color:
Take now an already prepared brush, picturing the sky, and the white color.

and insert more cloudiness on all the layers:
If that is necessary, we may change the layers’ colors, using this command: Image – Adjustments – Hue/Saturation (ctrl+u).
Take now the Gradient Tool and paint the clouds on their lateral sides on a new layer. After that we should change the layer’s Blending Mode on Soft Light and minimize the Opacity till 80%.
Give a certain nuance to the tree also:
Combine all the layers: Layer – Merge Visible (shift+ctrl+e) and insert several scratches on the entire picture’s surface. Select for this operation the Dodge Tool of 1 px.
Now create a frame, using the Crop Tool and the Gradient Tool.
The picture is finished!

The next lesson we’ll learn to represent the sky with a great number of
clouds on it, correct the colors of the picture and imitate the motion
of the object and scratch on the picture.
Open in a new window the picture of a girl: File – Open (ctrl+o):
Copy the layer by moving it on the new layer’s icon in the Layers window. Erase the previous layer (using the recycler’s icon in the same window). Mark out the background after that (Polygonal Lasso Tool) and erase it with the corresponding button on the keyboard.
Increase now the sizes of the working space with the Crop Tool and insert the picture of a tree on a new layer, placed under the girl’s layer.
We have to open this picture in a new window (ctrl+o), mark it and make a copy of it: Edit – Copy (ctrl+c). Get back after that to the previous window and insert it on a new layer: Edit – Paste (ctrl+v). Make the corrections on the tree’s sizes, applying the next command: Edit – Free Transform (ctrl+t).
Now we must insert under the tree’s layer the picture of the sky.
Create out of the sky’s layer a mask with next combination: Layer – Add Layer Mask – Reveal All. Select after that the Brush Tool with smooth edges and make the tree visible form the previous layer.
Apply this command now: Layer – Remove Layer Mask – Apply. Insert on a new layer the picture of a cloud. Select the Magic Wand Tool to mark out and erase the sky’s zones. Choose the Eraser Tool with smooth edges to correct the cloud’s bounds.
Insert on a new layer the picture of a new cloud:
Separate it from of the sky, applying the same instrument used before and make a copy of the layer. Turn the copy horizontally: Edit – Flip Horizontal, then place both these layer on both girl’s lateral sides.
Create out of the layer a mask (Reveal All). Select the Eraser Tool to delete the sharp lines of these clouds.
Insert the same way one more cloud in the upper corner, using this option: Edit – Flip Vertical.
Start
now making the corrections on the picture’s colors. As a result we must
have the same coloring gamma. At the beginning we need to dark out a
little the sky on the tree’s layer, selecting the next command: Image – Adjustments – Selective Color.
Then merge down this layer and the sky’s layer: Layer – Merge Down (ctrl+e). Correct the colors by using the option that you see: Image – Adjustments – Curves (ctrl+m).
Pass to the girl’s layer and make her coiffure livelier by adding several locks on the hair, selecting the Stamp Tool, like a brush.
