How to make a wallpaper
Hallo and welcome to the tutorial where we will make a wallpaper using produced custom brushes, color – gradients and non standard fonts. I’m using Photoshop as my
main application, so let’s get started.
Step 1 is to make a background and choose the proportions on the objects.
Grey as primary sub color.
Begin to color the background.
Oh ea when you applying the color to grey background play with color blending modes. I used Soft Light to apply red and purple.
To blend all the colors gradients apply Motion blur at 180 degrees.
Now it is time to make some custom brushes. Create a new layer, make a rectangular selection, and fill the selection with pure black fill. Make another selection
around the black.
Define the form as a brush by going to Edit > Define Brush Preset.
This is standard brush shape as I want it.
So as you define a brush In Photoshop – you leave all the brush settings untouched. If you have a tablet like I do it is better to set all the settings for your
comfort work.
Here is my brush in action if you push just a little:
And here is my brush in action if you push hard.
So I really want to use this really magical tablet feel in my design.
Mask a little bit the sides of the composition.
Now comes the text part. I’m using 1 font for the line. Trick the font by rasterizing the layer and applying the gradient and the lines – as simple as that, and we
also have 2nd line.
I will make the mass of the objects bigger by copying and transforming the object layers.
And this is it for making cubic wallpaper. I hope you learned and understood how custom brushes can help you design wallpaper in little time.
