Create a nice colored fusion twirl.

1. Create a new image (File > New or Ctrl+N):

2. Create a new layer (Layer > New > Layer or Shift+Ctrl+N).
3. Press D on your keyboard to reset your colors.
4. Edit > Fill (this will fill in the layer to the color black):

5. Filter > Render > Lens Flar:

6. Repeat step 5 about 4 more times, but in the Flare Center option set the flare to different places:

7. Filter > Render > Difference Clouds, your result should be similar to the image below:

8. Filter > Brush Strokes > Accented Edges:

9. Filter > Distort > Pinch:

10. Filter > Distort > Twirl:

11. Duplicate the layer (Layer > Duplicate Layer or Ctrl+J).
12. Set the layers Blending Mode to Lighten:

13. Filter > Brush Strokes > Dark Strokes:

14. Filter > Blur > Radial Blur:

15. Filter > Distort > Twirl:

16. Filter > Distort > Pinch:

17. Filter > Distort > Twirl:

18. Duplicate the layer (Layer > Duplicate Layer or Ctrl+J).
19. Filter > Render > Difference Clouds (now your image should look similar to the image below):

20. Lets add some color now, go to Image > Adjustments > Hue/Saturation or Ctrl+U (make sure Colorize is checked):

21. Set the layers Opacity to 50%:

22. Select the previous layer and also add some color by once again going to Image > Adjustments > Hue/Saturation or Ctrl+U (make sure Colorize is checked):

23. Set this layers Opacity to 75%:

24. Now go to the 1st layer we made and also add some color by once again going to Image > Adjustments > Hue/Saturation or Ctrl+U (make sure colorize is checked):

25. Your final result should look similar to the image below:
