Use the Selection and Snapshot tools
    Published  05/7/2006 | Acrobat Professional

Selection and Snapshot toolsWith the improved Selection and Snapshot tools, you can capture selected portions of your PDF documents and create new PDF files that contain only selected portions and images. This is a great way to create a scrapbook of useful educational materials from a variety of PDF documents. The Snapshot tool captures a region of your PDF file and places it in the clipboard for further processing in the application of your choice. The selection tool in Acrobat 7.0 has been updated to automatically determine the type of selection to make — image, text, or table, complete with formatting into other applications, making it a breeze to copy from or paste into Acrobat 7.0.
