Menu items in FreeHand 10 on the Macintosh are slow to respond

Menu items in FreeHand 10 on the Macintosh are slow to respond

Issue

Accessing menu items in FreeHand 10 takes longer than expected.

Reason

Some third-party extensions or control panels may cause conflicts with Apple’s CarbonLib extension (this extension enables Carbon applications, such as FreeHand 10, to function on Macintosh operating systems prior to OS X). This slow menu-performance behavior may also occur with other carbonized applications running on pre-OS X operating systems.

Solution

The following extensions or control panels can cause slow performance when accessing FreeHand 10 menus:

tri ACTION WYSIWYG
tri ACTION Utilities
tri ACTION Menus
tri Action Files
tri Default Folder
tri Finder Pop
tri OSA menus
tri

QuickKeys

Disabling these extensions or control panels may help improve performance.
